The Open Blockchain Standard for
Art & Collectible Provenance.
Powered by Blockchain

Instantly discover, register and validate art and collectible
provenance data to ensure authenticity and prevent fraud.

Overview

Problem

Today there is no industry standard for tracking ownership and validating authenticity of art and collectibles. Buyers and sellers are often relying on paper-based ledgers and trusted relationships, which leaves a lot of room for risk, fraud, and theft.

Automation can solve some of these challenges, but without a standard and widely adopted system, even the best tools are subject to the same user errors common in paper-based systems. What’s needed is an industry-standard framework that makes it simple for anyone (from individual collectors to large-scale auction houses to insurance agents) to easily verify authenticity and ownership of art and collectibles, anywhere, from any device, without having to invest in new technology.

Our Solution

Collexion does just that. Collexion’s Open Asset Registry (OAR) uses blockchain technology to automatically register, update, trace and inspect art and collectible provenance data, instantly, through an open-sourced network. Our Open Asset Registry will serve as a safe, secure, trusted platform for updating and managing art, collectibles and antiques data. Powered by Blockchain, this decentralized and encrypted platform is inaccessible to hackers and ensures the safest and most trusted mitigation to risk, fraud, and theft.

OAR makes it easy for everyone to get what they need...

Our goal for OAR is to become a true open source blockchain-based platform: maintained and developed by the user community. Building and creating new opportunities for all market participants, together we can revolutionize an industry.

About Us

Our Purpose

Our vision is to transform the art and collectibles industry and establish the open source standard for blockchain based provenance storage: maintained and developed by the user community.

Players

Our platform is designed to serve
a multitude of industry players.

Our History

Backed by an award winning company, Collexion. Inc., that offers an online platform connecting buyers and sellers to a curated collection of high-value collectibles, art and antiques. Enthusiasts can browse among a selection of categories, namely, art, antiques, watches, jewelry, wine, books, coins, classic cars, memorabilia and other collectibles. This has developed our understanding of the existing marketplace during our transition to a blockchain-based and feature-rich platform. We are developing custom smart contracts for several types of transactions and registrations which we believe are the most commonly needed component by the collectible business ecosystem.

Collexion.com has historically been a Search Technology Platform that makes it is easier for collectors to find the item they are looking for regardless where it might be for sale. Millions of items have been aggregated onto Collexion.com, where we make them searchable and accessible from one site. Creating a platform almost like a specialized “Google for collectibles”, with a premium visual experience, Collexion’s crawlers and API integration pull from tens of thousands of auction houses, marketplaces like eBay and Amazon, and individual dealer sites.

Core Values

We aim to create a culture in which our business conduct reflects our company values, and always embodies the highest level of legal and ethical standards. Our emphasis on collaborative teamwork and network connections allows us to support our customers in the most efficient way possible.
